Reflection

I really do not have any reservations about making a toolkit. I think that this is a great way to submit and store information for future use. I really like that this can be something that can be carried along with you, so at any given moment you need to pull up a resource it is there in plain view categorized and ready for you to use. I think that the Blogger is a great way to use the tool kit because with its viewing capabilities, I can open this column up to the public and people can post what they think and even post more useful tools under the categories that they choose. This is definitely something that I am going to use in my future teaching. I will make one for each subject area and when I need to pull up some helpful articles, data, assessments, or lesson plans I will be fully prepared to do so. I will definitely be continuing the use of this toolkit! In fact I will use this during my practicum II next semester! I am going to show this to our team at Kratz Elementary and see what they think! I really think that they are going to like this because it will give them all the opportunity to share resources and different lesson plans with each other via Blog. This is a simple, easy, and very useful tool. Therefore it is something that I will use many times throughout my teaching career.

Support and Resources for ELL and Special Ed.

It is important that we are able to support our students with from all different backgrounds and levels of knowledge. We as educators are faced with a higher degree of integration in our classrooms now more than ever. Because of this we must make sure our classroom can support all the needs for each individual learner. We must make sure our classroom is well equipped with a multitude of different learning resources in order to actively engage our students in the learning process. It is up to us as teachers to fulfill the educational needs for all students no matter what.

Pinterest and Teacher Pay Teachers

Collaboration and Professional

Pinterest can bring teachers together like no other social media tool. Teachers can connect and collaborate with other educators across the country. Each teacher can create boards to share their ideas and other boards to collect new ideas. Every pin, board and person on Pinterest has an individual link, which makes sharing easy.
Collaborative boards are also very popular on Pinterest. They can be set up so multiple users can pin their ideas all on one board. That board is accessible through all collaborators’ Pinterest pages to reach a larger group of pinners.
Teachers and administrators can also collaborate through shared boards.

Assessment

Science assessments are necessary tools for managing and evaluating efforts to ensure all students receive the science education necessary to prepare them for participation in our nation's decision-making processes and lifelong learning of science in a technology-rich workplace.

Literacy in Science

When it comes to literacy in science it is highly advised to introduce multiple forms of literacy techniques in order to engage your students. The diversity of the classroom is dependent upon a diverse array of literacy resources. Incorporating literacy into a science lesson is a great way to hook your students in the beginning by engaging them with a topic to discuss and integrating the subject material into a science activity.

The National Science Teachers Association plays a huge part in giving educators dependable and accredited resources to introduce literacy and many other types of media into science curriculum.
The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), founded in 1944 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, is the largest organization in the world committed to promoting excellence and innovation in science teaching and learning for all. NSTA's current membership of 55,000 includes science teachers, science supervisors, administrators, scientists, business and industry representatives, and others involved in and committed to science education.(http://www.nsta.org/about/overview.aspx) Every year the National Science Teacher Association publishes their award winning books.
